The Prime Minister, Mario Draghi, expresses “full support for the measures to combat gender-based violence presented today in view of the world day of 25 November”. “The protection of women is an absolute priority for the Government”, reads the note from the Prime Minister, “which intends to tackle the hateful problem of gender-based violence in all its aspects, from prevention to support for victims”. The government, adds the premier, “allocates new resources to help women who suffer domestic abuse, to accompany them on the path to escape from violence, to promote their economic independence. The interventions strengthen the assistance system for women and minors who are victims of abuse, in defense of their rights and of our society “
