Earthquakes: Japan, magnitude 5.7 quake in Ogasawara islands

No tsunami warnings or personal injury

(ANSA) – TOKYO, 04 JAN – An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 was recorded in the Ogasawara Islands, about 1,000 kilometers south of Tokyo, at 6:08 local time (22:08 in Italy).

The quake had a hypocenter at a depth of 43 kilometers, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reports that it has not issued any tsunami alarms and has classified the intensity of the shock at 5 on the Japanese maximum measurement scale of 7 levels.

At the moment, according to the NHK public TV, there are no reports of damage to people or property. (HANDLE).
