Appointment at the fair in Udine from 2 to 10 October. There will also be Moroso, Gervasoni, Calligaris and Fantoni

UDINE. The oldest fair of the future. The sole administrator of Udine and Gorizia Fiere, Lucio Gomiero, echoes the slogan chosen by Venice to present the 68th edition of the Modern House.

The most historic of the fairs organized in Udine, but also the most loved by the public and the one that will certainly continue to have a place to tell the evolution of a key sector in the context of the rethinking underway on the future of the Friulian fair organization. in the Fvg economy.

It did so during Covid, with an edition – the first – very digital. And it will do so this year – from 2 to 10 October – with as many as 300 brands represented: small and very small companies, but also Big – from Moroso to Gervasoni, from Calligaris to Fantoni -, which return to Casa Moderna, after having trodden a stage exceptional as that of the Milanese Supersalone.

«The key word of this edition? Supply chain »began the sole director of Udine and Gorizia Fiere, Lucio Gomiero, yesterday presenting Casa Moderna together with the president of the Pordenone Udine Chamber of Commerce, Giovanni Da Pozzo, and the number one of Confartigianato Udine, Graziano Tilatti.

«Historically, the focus of the fair is on retail, which certainly remains one of its main drivers, but no longer the only one – explained Gomiero -. In fact, we wanted to integrate a renewed attention to design into this commercial aspect, in collaboration with some of our great brands, but also with the Milan design museum and the Salone del Mobile, as well as production, to go and discover what lies behind it, the choices of sustainability, green manufacturing and circularity that Fantoni from Osoppo will tell us about ».

The company stands will be joined by institutional spaces – among others in the Fvg Region – and moments of reflection and in-depth analysis, with 46 events spread over 9 days. Among these, the “Beautiful, well done, sustainable” event scheduled for 5.30 pm on 4 October will be attended by, among others, the president of the Milan Furniture Fair, Maria Porro.

Alongside the Big, Casa Moderna will be space for small businesses and crafts, which will participate with 5 events and 10 companies.

“Because behind the design we must not forget the work, no less important, of the many small and very small realities that guarantee maintenance, restructuring, reconversions and that in particular during this very difficult pandemic period have proved once more fundamental” Tilatti highlighted expanding the thought also to the nourished world of commerce.

Da Pozzo translated thought into numbers. “In June 2018 – he highlighted – the home system had 19,133 companies in Fvg, 18,840 in June 2020 to return to 19,054 in June of this year, substantially at pre-Covid levels”.

In short, the sector has held up, also thanks to the fact that the house has returned to being, in times of pandemic, a safe haven. “Let us remember that our economic backbone is made up of small and micro activities – reiterated Da Pozzo -: we hope the lockdown has helped us to understand the importance of all the shutters that are raised every morning”.
Shutters that Casa Moderna aspires to represent by becoming the voice of a rich and heterogeneous sector.
