The blitz started on Thursday when the plainclothes carabinieri of the Nas showed up at the headquarters of the agricultural company in Pieve di Soligo for a check within the operational strategy “eggs and egg products” ordered by the Ministry of Health. The attention of the carabinieri, coordinated by Lieutenant Colonel Giuseppe Mercatali, was immediately concentrated on a series of pallets where, alongside intact eggs, there were also damaged ones.

This fact is absolutely forbidden by the provisions of the competent ministry. For this reason, the eggs have been placed under sequestration and now made available to the ministry which will have to evaluate whether to shred them all or allow the intact ones to be recovered.

The controls of the Carabinieri of the Nas of Treviso are incisive and numerous, especially as regards the food sector. A few weeks ago, in fact, the military of the nas had carried out a raid on a kebab in the area of the center of Treviso, after having received the report of a customer who had found a cockroach inside a sandwich. The subsequent and immediate check made it possible to ascertain that the hygiene standards of the room were absolutely not in line with the provisions of the Ministry of Health. Hence the decision to close the restaurant and sanction the manager.
