SAINT LUCIA. In Santa Lucia di Piave the confrontation is between the outgoing deputy mayor Luca Bellotto, 34, an entrepreneur, and the former mayor Fiorenzo Fantinel, 61, an insurer. But, as in the last thirty years in Santa Lucia, these elections also risk being a sort of referendum for or against Riccardo Szumski.
It is inevitable, for a country governed by Szumski since 1994, with a single parenthesis that was that of the former mayor Fantinel from 2002 to 2012, of which however Szumski, more than a deputy, was a “co-mayor”.
