The support measures for SMEs are underway

From today and until 31 December 2023 it will be possible for businesses affected by the floods to submit their application requests to Guarantee fund which brings measures to support the recovery of SMEs after the catastrophic events that have occurred since May 1st, mainly in Emilia-Romagna.

The Fund managed by Mediocredito Centraleprovides for: free intervention and increase in coverage percentages.

In particular, Article 9 of the decree law of 1 June 2023, the so-called DL Flood Emilia-Romagna, establishes:

  • the exemption from the payment of “one-off” commissions for access to the Fund and for the non-completion of guaranteed transactions;
  • in the case of a direct guarantee, the increase to 80% for all operations, which can be raised up to 90% in the case of applications submitted on the “Temporary crisis and transition framework for state aid measures to support the economy following the aggression of Russia against Ukraine”
  • in the case of reinsurance, the coverage increased up to 90% on the guarantees issued in the first instance by the credit guarantee associations not exceeding 80%, which can be raised up to 100% in the case of applications presented on the aforementioned “Temporary Framework” provided that the guarantee issued by the confidi does not exceed 90% and provides for the payment of a premium that takes into account administrative costs only.

For the submission of requests it will be necessary to use the new version of attachment 4 published by the Manager on the Fund’s website on 5/6/2023.
