Volcano activity does not impact Catania airport activity
(ANSA) – CATANIA, AUGUST 29 – Etna returns to be heard and seen with a fountain of lava, strong explosions and emission of lava ash from the South-East crater. This was revealed by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, Etna Observatory, in Catania, which records an increase in the amplitude of the tremor, which reaches high values. The current eruptive phase of the highest active volcano in Europe, at the moment, does not impact the operations of the Vincenzo Bellini international airport.
