RESIA. Offering a “female” job opportunity on the one hand, betting on the potential of the mountain on the other. These are the two guidelines of the new, ambitious project by Eurolls, a Friulian company engaged in the production of steel and tungsten carbide rollers, which has several industrial patents in its technological assets. After the Attimis headquarters and the Villa Santina production site, the company aims to drop the trio by investing in the mountain area.
«We are ready to set up a factory in San Giorgio di Resia, where we will initially offer work to about fifteen women from the local fabric, but also from Canal del Ferro and Valcanale – announces Renato Railz, founder of the Eurolls group in 1987 -. And if the business finds the outlet we expect, we will not set limits. We have already made a first inspection together with the mayor, Anna Micelli, finding a space that we consider suitable ».
In the new plant, a production unit will be built exclusively dedicated to the production of precision blades for cutting sheet metal from coil and tube cutting, as is already the tradition in Resia, with grinders.
But what are the reasons for an uniquely female production unit? “If we find women who are mechanical experts, that’s fine, but above all we need people who are smart and ready to learn a trade. We, for our part, are ready to teach and train those who will approach this project. It is not only a labor issue, but also a social one ”, the Eurolls“ number one ”still specifies.
On the decision to focus on Resia, Railz rattles off all the reasons. “On the one hand, there is the availability of the mayor Anna Micelli, with whom we met and confronted. He would be delighted with our arrival and feel the need to attract investments in the mountains.
And then, we are already present in the mountain area, in Villa Santina, and we have always found ourselves very well. Here, however, there are now space problems and we had to find an alternative solution. Now we think we have identified it. Developing the mountains is one of our future plans, ”concludes Railz.
In this way, the Eurolls group is preparing to grow further, a reality that counts on over 220 employees in Italy and abroad, and has a turnover of 30 million euros. The first Resian citizen, for his part, has made available former industrial buildings, currently without activity. “We are always at the forefront for the creation of new jobs – explains the mayor of Resia, Micelli – extremely, when it comes to identifying female workers”.
The territory leads the way from this point of view, with a much higher pink component in the municipal council, as well as in all social and cultural activities related to the public administration of Val Resia. In short, the mountains can still be attractive for investments. –
