European green pass effective from July 1st, here’s how it works

The digital EU Covid Certificate will debut tomorrow, Thursday 1 July. Here are the questions and answers on how it works, who can get it, in which countries it is valid and how long it lasts.

What is the European green pass for?

The green certificate is used to travel between EU countries and others that have signed agreements with the European Union without the obligation to undergo further anti-Covid tests or periods of isolation.
