The FIGC today received the letter with which the government authorizes the presence of spectators at the Olympic stadium in Rome for the four European football matches to be played in Italy, including the opening match on 11 June. After some hesitation on the part of the CTS, the executive made the wisest decision: to open safely but to open (at least 25 percent of the seats can be filled). We wrote here that this would first of all be an important signal towards the gradual return to a normality that Covid has upset in the last year, a challenge to be won to demonstrate that with due caution, even a great event with thousands of people can be organized . The hope now is that this choice will not remain an isolated decision, a yes to the “privileged” of football and that’s it.
