Fabio Paratici leaves Juventus after 11 seasons of work

TURIN. Fabio Paratici is no longer the Juventus sporting director. The announcement was formalized by the club itself, after a meeting between the manager and the president Andrea Agnelli. His position had been in the balance for days, he had his contract expiring at the end of June, after the Suarez case and a season in which the team qualified for the Champions League only at the last minute. So here is the expected turning point that will change Juve. In his place, Federico Cherubini will be promoted, who in recent years has been Paratici’s deputy following in particular the Under 23 team, while this departure accelerates Massimiliano Allegri’s return to Juventus.

«They were wonderful years, of professional growth and strong emotions. Juventus – Fabio Paratici said in the club’s press release – has given me the opportunity to carry out my business in full freedom and without conditioning in full compliance with my role. For this I would like to thank all the club, my staff, employees, collaborators, players, coaches, shareholders, and, in particular, the President, Andrea Agnelli. An important chapter of my career closes, waiting for new challenges ».

«Fabio has written the history of Juventus in recent years. A growth path characterized by professionalism, self-denial and many successes. Nineteen trophies in 11 years are the best testimony of his work, which is fully inscribed in the long tradition of our club. Today is the time to thank him for having been able to create a strong professional bond, accompanied by daily passion ”, said the President at the outcome of the meeting with Paratici.
