Fanny Liatard and Jérémy Trouilh recount a scene from Gagarine (Video)

“In this sequence the three protagonists take refuge in a sort of garden of Eden built by themselves”, explain Fanny Liatard and Jérémy Trouilh, directors of Gagarine – Protect what you love. “The music adds a political and extravagant sense to the whole.”

The film is about Youri, a 16-year-old who hopes to become a cosmonaut. He comes from the residential complex of cité Gagarine, on the outskirts of Paris. The district used to be a symbol of architectural modernity, but now it risks being demolished due to decay. Youri, however, does not give up.

Fanny Liatard and Jérémy Trouilh are two French directors. Gagarine – Protect what you love is their first feature film.
