MOTTA OF LIVENZA. She was the lady of the shirts, those exported all over the world. They knew her as Mrs. Sinigaglia, the surname of her beloved husband, who died again in the summer of 2005. But she was Danila, Danila Pesavento, a woman who played a role in the enormous success of the shirt shop, active between the 70s and 80s, when the Motta factory reached the pinnacle of success, it passed away on Thursday 23 December.
Its history is intertwined with that of the company. The factory was located in via Riviera Scarpa and employed a good number of workers. Sinigaglia packs were among the very first companies in the Motta area in the second post-war period together with a well-known furniture factory. The company at the time had focused on high quality products that made it known in a short time. In the area it was one of the first industries in which mostly female personnel, coming from Motta and the neighboring centers, were employed.
Daniela Pesavento leaves her children Antonio, Maria Angela and Maurizio as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral will be celebrated in the cathedral next Monday, December 27, starting at 2.30pm.
