Rescue technicians worked a few hours to re-process the data and narrow down the area where the young man’s cell phone could be. «The triangulation was possible thanks to the fact», Matteo Albore, the mountain rescue officer of the Guardia di Finanza of Auronzo, explains, «that the mobile phone received several messages, as we saw from mid-afternoon on August 26 onwards.
