UDINE. «Our goal is to maintain 100% presence in the classroom throughout the school year. I think new lockdowns are unsustainable for the country ». This was reiterated by the president of Friuli Venezia Giulia and of the Conference of Regions, Massimiliano Fedriga, speaking on the “Morning News” broadcast on Canale 5.
Fedriga reported that she had accompanied her children to school on Monday 13 September and that she had “seen an absolutely calm situation and no problem for the parents”.
“New lockdowns, I repeat, would be unsustainable for the country. We must clearly say that even if a Region were to pass in the orange or red zone, with the Green pass it must be kept open. If you turn orange, you can’t close the restaurants ».
“We have to keep this open and guarantee this for all citizens. The Green pass – remarked the president of the Fvg – is a tool to keep open and we must find a social balance to keep the country united, we must accompany it ».
Fedriga then specified that he was “opposed to those who would like to put the Green pass even to go to the bathroom”, because “a social balance must be found to keep the country together. We must accompany the country and not think that there are institutions that order and the citizen who executes, “he said.
The governor then focused on the issue of immigration: «In all Western democratic countries there are strict rules to regulate migratory flows. Blocking irregular entries – he underlined – is a form of protection for both Italian citizens and foreigners who are holders of residence permits, who work and pay taxes on our territory ».
Finally, transport. «The Regions have done everything they could, from finding the means to the strengthening of urban and extra-urban routes. In Fvg we have also foreseen the installation of air filtering systems to further reduce the risk of contagion ».
