MORIAGO. A young woman was found lifeless in the park of the island of the dead in Moriago della Battaglia along the banks of the Piave.
The alarm was raised shortly after half past twelve by some passers-by who spotted the woman’s body. According to what has been learned, the murder would have taken place at least half an hour earlier.
The victim was 35 years old. Her name was Elisa Campeol, she lived in Pieve di Soligo where she was a shopkeeper.
The carabinieri of the Treviso investigative nucleus and of the Vittorio Veneto company are operating on the spot.
Several stab wounds were found on the body.
According to the first indiscretions, the alleged murderer was constituted in the weapon station of Valdobbiadene, not far from the scene of the crime. He would be a peer of the victim with whom, however, he could not have any relationship or acquaintance.
The 118 operators, who intervened on the spot, could not help but ascertain the death of the woman.
Elisa Campeol’s body was found next to a sun bed on the banks of the Piave river.

Elisa’s murderer is also about the same age and lives in a village on the left-hand side of the Piave. Immediately after the crime he went to constitute himself in the Valdobbiadene carabinieri barracks, which perhaps he knew or was on his way.
