There is an exemption for drugs and services in favor of residents affected by the disease

The Lega Vallée d’Aoste today filed a bill on fibromyalgia in the regional council. The text, explains the party, “aims to recognize fibromyalgia on the regional territory as a progressive and disabling disease” and intends to “favor, for patients suffering from this pathology, access to the services and benefits provided by the regional health service” by introducing the exemption for drugs and benefits.

Furthermore, the bill aims to “promote knowledge of the disease among doctors and the population”.

According to the Northern League leader Andrea Manfrin “this law, in the wake of what was established by the European Parliament on 13 January 2009, will allow patients suffering from fibromyalgia syndrome to finally see their pathology recognized and, at the same time, to be adequately treated, obtaining the ‘assistance and the therapies they need, thus restoring their rights and dignity ”.
