Final in Miami: Sinner yields in two sets to the Pole Hurkacz

Jannik Sinner

The nineteen year old still closes the tournament with his head held high: the game ends 7-6, 6-4 for the rival-friend

YOU LOVE ME. Jannik Sinner’s dream is over. The 19-year-old Italian player was in fact beaten in two sets (7-6, 6-4) by the Polish Hubert Hurkacz in the final of the Miami Open in Florida. Sinner has always been in pursuit. In the first set he went 3-0 down and then recovered until he reached 6-5 and served to win the first game, which he then lost clearly at the tie-break (7-4).

In the second the Pole, a great friend and doubles partner, runs away once again even at 4-0, Sinner goes back up to 4-3 and 5-4 but on the rival’s serve he gives up the game and the match that lasted a total of 1 hour and 44 minutes.

At the end of the match, however, the nineteen year old Italian tennis player has no regrets. “It wasn’t my day, but we will certainly continue to work with the team and rest assured that we will return stronger”
