At around 5 o’clock in the afternoon that day, passengers who had just escaped the heavy rain, road surface water, and traffic interruption, successfully boarded Metro Line 5, they did not know what would happen next.
Line 5 trains continue to stop temporarily

After passing the beach temple station, I was going to the tunnel at Shakou Road station. Finally, the train was stuck in the tunnel and could not move. At this time, the car began to seep in.
At that time, the conductor opened the door and let the passengers walk along the sidewalk from the tunnel. Wang Jun said, “We are going to go out first. In that tunnel, we walked for a while, but then we went back and returned to the carriage. I’ve been waiting, and I was already trapped.”
The two most tormented hours of my life

Wang Jun said that it was a pity that there was no life-saving hammer at the time, and there was no way to smash the glass, so he could only use a fire extinguisher. I also repeatedly yelled, “There are fire extinguishers at both ends of the seats, and they can be smashed.” However, it is estimated that they can’t hear it, or something, because the water behind (carriage) is deeper, which makes them slower.”
In the end, even the lights were turned off. Later, it was supposed to be an outdoor rescuer who arrived. Rescued at about 10 o’clock, he witnessed seven or eight people lying on the platform, and in the corridor of the original tunnel, there were some lying there that hadn’t come out.
