LONGARONE. Two special days in Malcolm di Longarone. Guests of honor of the small lake, managed by the Maè-Piave fishermen’s association, disabled people from various Belluno associations who were able to deal with sport fishing on Fridays and Saturdays. It all stems from a project of the Ministry of Labor which, through the Italian Federation of Sport Fishing and Underwater Activities, finances and organizes this type of initiative throughout Italy.

Hence the involvement of Mattia Cattapan of “Crossabili” who with the participation of Alvaro Dal Farra and the collaboration of the Fishing Basin n. 6 of Longarone made two unforgettable days. On Friday the children of two elementary classes from Longarone and Castellavazzo also arrived.

“This is a project aimed at the disabled that I bring to various Italian realities”, explains Bruno Dotto, national councilor of Fipsas, “which together with the project to fight gambling addiction, aimed at school children, wants to make sport fishing known to young people” . Satisfaction also for Endi Mussoi, president of the Fishing Basin n. 6 Maè-Piave “We thank the Municipality of Longarone who granted us the management of the sports facility in which we will organize more and more events aimed at young people, the disabled but also the elderly, sport fishing can be practiced by everyone, even in old age and here you can do it safely. I also thank the countless volunteers ».

Note of merit to Alvaro Dal Farra who gave pure adrenaline with his bike.

«It was a wonderful event», concludes Padrin, «which involved children and young people who for over a year had not had the opportunity to spend time together. We created that pond precisely to allow people to live experiences like these and we are lucky to have a fishing basin with such extraordinary and passionate members ».
