VITTORIO VENETO. Only 14 months ago Permasteelisa announced 135 redundancies and made the city tremble, representing the company one of the industrial jewels of Vittorio Veneto. The 135 technicians left, obviously with the necessary incentives, and all of them found work, thanks to their remarkable professionalism.

Yesterday the same company announced to the trade unions (Fiom Cgil, Fim Cisl, Ugl), at the Assindustria Venetocentro headquarters in Treviso, that it had solved this and other problems. Therefore, it is returning to the competitive market as it once was, a market that is reopening, even if suffering from the supply crisis (and energy costs).

Here, therefore, is that already this month Permasteelisa will conclude the extraordinary layoff. For the data, however, we will have to wait for the balance sheet at the end of June, which will be illustrated by the group in July. “We are satisfied – we let it slip – even if we still have to get busy”. Sigh of relief, of course, for the 600 collaborators of the group who, coincidentally, with their salary in June, will receive a result bonus of 500 euros which is added to another 500 euros that the company has provided in the form of welfare in the first months of this year.

Therefore, the contract with the trade unions signed last November has been respected. For the company, “the overcoming of the challenging objectives contained in the November agreement is confirmation of the quality of the hard work carried out by all employees in an extremely difficult historical period”.

In a competitive market context in constant evolution, “it is now fundamental – underlines Permasteelisa – to maintain a high level of alertness and to continue in the path that has been traced, consolidating the results and thus the Italian and international leadership position of the Group”.

Strong satisfaction is also expressed by Assindustria, in particular by the vicar president of Venecentro, Alberto Zanatta. «Permasteelisa confirms itself as a strong and competitive company, an undisputed reference in its sector on a global level, while at the same time deeply rooted in the Treviso area, where it began its journey. The data communicated today are encouraging for the whole territory, starting with the important supply chain linked to this company ».

Permasteelisa is a world leader in architectural glass and steel facades. In 2011 Permasteelisa was acquired by the Japanese multinational Lixil Corporation for around 600 million euros. In May 2020, the US fund Atlas Holding took over. The first goal was to return to profit.

In these months of restructuring, in San Giacomo, in the industrial area of ​​which the company founded by Massimo Colomban is headquartered, work has been carried out under trace.
