CHIONS. A fire broke out, due to causes under investigation, on the afternoon of Sunday 1 May in a house in Chions. The firefighters intervened on the spot and worked for a long time to put out the flames. From an initial reconstruction of the incident, the causes of the fire are accidental.
The fire occurred in a small house in via Diaz, on the first floor. The firefighters of San Vito al Tagliamento managed to quickly extinguish the flames but the house was declared uninhabitable.
The mayor of Chions helped the family living there, the parents and four children, to find accommodation for the next few days. As a precaution, the family was visited in the hospital in San Vito al Tagliamento but no one was injured.
