CONEGLIANO. There were twice as many applications that were not accepted compared to those that received the contribution. Several requests came from those who did not meet the parameters, some were not small businesses and someone had already obtained help in previous calls.

The Municipality of Conegliano was therefore able to allocate only twelve contributions to the companies that participated in the third call to support the activities following the Covid emergency. Twenty-five applications were rejected. Among the excluded are an agent of articles for photographers, a representative of construction materials, a company producing religious articles and another one of precious objects, as well as some hairdressers, beauticians, traders and restaurateurs. Therefore 29 thousand euros have already been allocated to the budget, which the municipal administrators will establish what they will be used for in the tertiary sector. “With the commissioner, general secretary and other managers, we will evaluate how they can be used – explains the manager of production activities, Giovanni Tel -, also hearing the trade associations”. The Municipality in recent months had allocated a total of 200 thousand euros to help traders, artisans and public establishments affected by the closures.

In a first phase, 293 micro-enterprises had been subsidized and through a second call for other 39, each with a grant of 500 euros. Most of the applications had been accepted, but 35,500 euros remained. The Municipality had therefore decided to activate a third call to give the opportunity also to those who had previously been left out.

Therefore, for activities with 10 to 50 employees and micro-enterprises, it is the 10 employees who had previously submitted the application but after the deadline (and therefore had not received the contribution). Among the twelve companies that have obtained the bonus are three restaurants and three clothing and linen stores, a gym and a marble company.

On Monday the provision was signed to disburse the sums and soon they will receive the 500 euros. At the end of May, however, the deadline for spending bonuses for families in economic difficulty expires. In recent days, the Municipality has issued a notice to remind you of the deadline and to complete the computer procedure to obtain vouchers. The system was implemented through an online platform and within one week of payment, the food bonuses must be validated by the beneficiaries.
