Hit the streets Marconi, Arsiè and Nogarè. The three mayors summoned to the prefecture to discuss countermeasures
FONZASO. Two home burglaries in broad daylight, in via Arsiè and via Nogarè. Photocopy of a shot scored just last week in via Marconi, also the one with the sunlight and people around the town.
After the raids in Arsiè, in the hamlets of Rivai and Mellame, and the raids in Quero, Fonzaso too has to deal with the phenomenon of home thefts and their aftermath of a sense of insecurity and concern among the population. And also the mayor of Fonzasino, Giorgio Slongo, will be in Belluno this morning with his colleagues from Arsiè and Quero, Luca Strappazzon and Bruno Zanolla, to meet the prefect and take stock of the strategies implemented to combat theft.
THE FIRST SHOT
The thieves hit on Friday last week in via Marconi, the long avenue that connects Arten to the center of Fonzaso and along which the Sportful factory stands.
The apartment rats targeted a house overlooking the street, around 6.30 pm, therefore in the sunlight. And they probably kept an eye on the hosts: the raid happened when the owners left to go shopping.
About twenty minutes later the son returned home and found everything upside down: the thieves had already struck.
Other episodes were not recorded in Fonzaso in the following days, but the signal was immediately grasped. So much so that the mayor of Fonzaso also invited the mayor of Fonzaso to participate in today’s meeting on the fight against thefts together with colleagues from Arsiè and Quero.
THE NEW RAID
The confirmation that it was not an isolated episode arrived on Wednesday afternoon, with two more shots at the gates of the center, in via Arsiè and in via Nogarè. Both scored in the afternoon, in the sunlight.
In via Arsiè the thieves had an easy game but found practically nothing. They forced the window of a house that had been uninhabited for a few months, since the owner passed away. Inside the house, which family members are tidying up, there was practically nothing to steal.
To discover the theft was a family member of the missing landlords, who went to open the windows a little to make the air swirl. He found clothes and furnishings upside down, a sign of strangers passing through a window. “However, there was nothing precious to take away, only clothes and things of the house,” explains a relative. “But the strange thing is that a key to the front door that was in the house has disappeared. We have looked for it but it cannot be found. So I immediately proceeded to have the lock cylinder changed ».
On the other hand, some graduation gifts were taken away from the house in via Nogarè targeted during the second raid. Objects of emotional value, therefore, more than economic. The family was not at home at that time.
There is little doubt that it was the same people who hit the two houses in Fonzaso, given the almost simultaneous nature of the two thefts.
The rumor on social media soon spread the news among the residents, who were thus put on the alert.
Someone reported seeing two people never seen before wandering around the village that same afternoon, a man and a woman.
“I have faith in the police, I know that the carabinieri make frequent checks,” says Mayor Giorgio Slongo. “But it seems that the thieves, as happened in Rivai where they beat the country for a week, almost want to launch a challenge.”
