The spouse of the man who died in a crash had already lost a sister. “We had a great time together in Feltre, my Yuriy will rest here”
PEDAVENA. A candle in the dark. Svitlana Bredis turned it on yesterday on her Facebook profile. It is a way to greet once more her husband Yuriy Dvirnychuck, who lost his life on Friday afternoon, in the crash against a Panda, next to the Fenadora road, in Fonzaso.
A life deeply marked by pain that of the woman of Ukrainian nationality, who only a few months ago had lost a sister. But his voice on the phone also reveals great courage and strength of mind, despite the excruciating mourning: “Yuriy was coming home from work and, for some time, he had started using the bike again”, recalls “Silvana”, “was one of his passions and we are talking about an experienced biker, who knew what he was doing. It was after 4 pm, when the carabinieri of Feltre warned me that he had had an accident and it was serious. Unfortunately he did not make it and for me it is a very serious loss ».
Dvirnychuck was 48, a native of Lviv and a truck driver. Many kilometers every year, in any road and traffic conditions: «When we arrived in Italy, he started working for Lattebusche. But his dream had always been to get behind the wheel of a bigger truck. He wanted to drive a truck and he managed to make it happen. In a photograph, which I posted on the social network, he is in Genoa with the historic Lantern in the background. He was good and he never made me worry ».
The family settled in Pedavena, where Svitlana Bredis worked for a long time as a caregiver. His Yuriy was well liked by everyone: «A decent person, who has always been nice and nice to me. His life lasted too short and leaves a bright memory not only in the hearts of our compatriots in Feltre, but also of all those who have known him in these few years. We have always been well, in this land that hosts us and it is here that my husband will rest ».
There is still no precise date for the celebration of the funeral: «I await a communication from the carabinieri, once the investigations have been completed and there will be the green light from the judiciary. I think Monday or Tuesday ».
A mourning that is added to another: «Not long ago my sister was gone. My family is in a very difficult time. I hope to be able to overcome it, also with the help of friends, who are making me feel all their closeness in these hours ».
