Indeed, the 201.9 millimeters of rainfall recorded within an hour at 5 pm on the 20th during this torrential rain is one of the highest historical records in Zhengzhou. This is a conclusive fact. This “75·8 torrential rain” was the dam-breaking incident in Zhumadian, Henan that was covered up at that time and was later revealed.

According to the current Zhengzhou official Weibo account “Zhengzhou Release”, it is: the heavy rain caused serious water accumulation in the Wulongkou parking lot and surrounding areas of Zhengzhou Metro Line 5. At 18:00 on July 20th, there was water accumulation. The water retaining wall broke down and entered the main line section, causing the trains of Zhengzhou Metro Line 5 to be suspended at Bintangsijie Station and Shakou Road Station. At 18:10, Zhengzhou Metro issued an order for the suspension of the entire network, organized forces to evacuate more than 500 people, of which 12 died and 5 were injured.
In other words, Zhengzhou officials were trapped in an accident on Line 5, and ordered the suspension of the subway at 6:10 pm on the 20th. But this brings up a simple question: the heavy rain did not start on the 20th, but as early as the morning of the 18th. The official itself has issued multiple orange rainstorm warnings. Why did the management department not stop early? Transport the subway?
We can see from the video exposed on the Internet that there were already a large number of buses and private cars on the streets paralyzed by the flooding in the city of Zhengzhou after 3 o’clock in the afternoon. I don’t believe that Zhengzhou officials, who have the world‘s most rigorous Skyeye monitoring system, will not be able to see these images. At this time, anyone with a little common sense will be alert, because the heavy rain will continue, which has long been forecast by the meteorological department.
In this case, safety measures such as stopping subways, implementing traffic control on roads in low-lying areas, and evacuating related people in an emergency, should be said to be the best choice. But the strange thing is that the relevant departments did not move. Even more than an hour later, there was a 201mm heavy rain at 5 o’clock. The Zhengzhou subway is still in operation. It was not until another hour passed, when passengers on Line 5 kept sending out trapped distress messages that the authorities officially ordered the suspension of the subway.
Is the Zhengzhou Metro operating department waiting for the disaster to happen?

There is a broadcasting system on the subway. The second man-made disaster, questioning the nature of the flood
Anyone who has watched the Zhengzhou flood video may have an impression that the flood velocity in the screen is very high. This is very unusual, because it is completely different from the “sea-viewing model” that we have seen in the past when heavy rains cause urban waterlogging.
Zhengzhou is located in a plain area with no mountains and hills. The rainstorm is basically evenly distributed. According to reason, no matter how large the water potential is, it is basically flooded. The water level rises slowly because the water comes from the sky vertically. At least two reservoirs have flooded without warning

Moreover, the Changzhuang Reservoir flood discharge mentioned in the message was also publicly released by Zhengzhou officials. The official Weibo “Zhengzhou Release” of the Propaganda Department of the Zhengzhou Municipal Party Committee issued a post at 1 am on the 21st, saying that the Changzhuang Reservoir opened its floodgates as early as 10:30 am on July 20 in order to relieve the pressure of flood control. This is very strange. Since the flood discharge has already started at 10:30 in the morning, why did the government wait for more than 14 hours before releasing the flood discharge notice after a large number of disasters have occurred? What’s even more outrageous is that the People’s Daily of the Communist Party of China also waited until 10:30pm on the 20th to quote a notice from the Zhengzhou Zhongmou County Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters, saying that the flood will be released on the evening of the 20th. This illustrates two important issues: 1. On the 20th, at least two places around Zhengzhou were releasing floods, but the citizens of Zhengzhou knew almost nothing. 2. Is the official taking advantage of the heavy rain to release floods and push responsibility?
We don’t know why the Zhengzhou official decision-makers made such an incredible decision. The answer is yes. The most dangerous man-made disaster: access to information channels are closed
