Found dead at home in Arcade, the Prosecutor’s Office opens an investigation

Michele Conte was found dead by her mother. Her pacemaker had been changed a few days before her death. The cardiologist is being investigated

ARCADE. The prosecutor has opened an investigation into the death of Michela Conte, the 29-year-old from Arcade found dead at home on Sunday 27 March. The girl had a congenital heart disease, which she had been controlled with a pacemaker implant when she was still a child. But, as it turns out, her braces had been changed shortly before her death.

The family, assisted by the lawyer Silvia Biscaro, therefore wants to see clearly, and to understand if the two facts are connected. Hence the decision of the Prosecutor’s Office to open the investigation, despite the fact that at the beginning he had decided not to subject the young woman’s body to an autopsy and had issued the authorization for the celebration of her funeral, which was then postponed. It was also registered in the register of suspects, the cardiologist (defended by the lawyer Dario Carienza) who followed the young woman.

The autopsy was carried out on Saturday, but revealed no particular anomalies. Further tests on the tissues of the heart were arranged. The survey aims to understand if there is any correlation, moreover, with the change in the pacemaker and the death of Michela Conte.

On the day of her death, the 29-year-old had lunch and in the following hours she was due to take up service in Work, in the intensive care unit of the Conegliano hospital. To find her lifeless was her mother, who came home after a work shift.
