Guangxi Department of Commerce: Guangxi’s consumer market remains hot during the Spring Festival

China News Service, Nanning, February 15th (Lin Hao) – The Department of Commerce of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region reported on February 15th that the consumer market remained hot in Guangxi during the Spring Festival holiday. Various forms of consumption promotion activities were carried out to create a reunion and festive atmosphere, resulting in a significant increase in passenger flow in major business districts. Domestic products and new trendy products with dragon elements have become the “new favorites” during this year’s Spring Festival.

According to data provided by the Guangxi Department of Commerce on the 15th, from February 10th to February 13th, the cumulative number of transactions by 1.67 million merchants in Guangxi increased by 9.0% year-on-year, and total sales increased by 13.3% year-on-year. Additionally, 155 key retail and catering enterprises achieved a sales year-on-year increase of 4.5% and a year-on-year increase of 5.0% in 2019.

To stimulate the vitality of the Spring Festival consumer market, various places in Guangxi carried out the “Auspicious Dragons Presenting Auspiciousness and Enjoying Happiness” – the 2024 Guangxi Happy New Year Carnival, and issued more than one million consumer coupons in hot areas.
