In addition to the currently widely reported number of confirmed cases in Manzhouli, Inner Mongolia, in neighboring Heilongjiang Province, on December 5, the provincial capital of Harbin, Nangang District, Xiangfang District, and Songbei District were adjusted to medium-risk areas. Since the beginning of this year, Harbin has experienced multiple outbreaks.
December 5 was the fourth day of a new round of the epidemic in Harbin. The shopping malls were closed and the streets were deserted.
Many people in Harbin woke up to find that their health code had become a yellow code. It turned out that the health code of the person who had the “temporal and spatial accompaniment” trajectory intersection with the confirmed case suddenly changed to a yellow code.
People complained repeatedly on the Internet: “It’s all messed up! The people are inexplicably yellow and red codes!” “Complete shutdown and production stop! There has been no progress in fighting the epidemic for two years! The epidemic has been repeated four times in half a year! Not as the government to step down!”
Officials issued a notice on the 4th, requiring people and vehicles in the main urban area not to leave the city unless necessary, and people from outside the city not to enter the city unless necessary. Harbin is like a soft sealed city. The official document also requires all catering to suspend dine-in meals.
Ms. Chen, the catering owner in Nangang District, Harbin: “We can’t eat in in the whole of Harbin now, we can only take out. It started yesterday (4th) afternoon, not only at Haxi Station, but in Harbin as a whole. All the shopping malls are closed. (Is it a big impact?) It’s definitely a big deal. Even if you eat in, there are no people. The impact is much older and you don’t make money.”
Ms. Lin, the owner of the hotel in Nangang District, Harbin: “The film police told us that this piece is closed, but according to Document 43, the store is closed. Even if the door is not allowed to open, there is no income!”
Ms. Lin: “Like our shops here are renting houses, with a year (rent) of 200,000 yuan. What do you think you are doing! Now there is no reasoning, and it is not reasonable. It was still open yesterday, and the documents were only available this morning. Don’t let go.”
