by admin

There will be “2.5 million for the year 2021 to support record shops, which are also particularly affected by the consequences of the pandemic”. This was announced by the Minister of Culture, Dario Franceschini, who signed a new decree establishing a financial intervention for a sector that is experiencing a dramatic crisis. “The businesses that sell records – he stressed – belong to the world of culture and as such, it is our duty to help and support them in the moment of departure”.

To submit an application, explains a press release, exhibitors must meet these requirements: to be commercial activities operating in the sector of the retail sale of discs in specialized shops with ATECO code 47.63; have their registered office in Italy; have during the 2019 financial year revenues deriving from the sale of discs equal to at least 50% of the total revenues declared; be registered in a special register at the territorially competent police headquarters pursuant to article 75 bis of the TULPSRD n. 773/1931; be up to date with the payment of social security contributions.

The decree has been sent to the supervisory bodies and will be available on the MiC website after registration. Within ten days from the date of registration, the Directorate-General for Entertainment will publish a notice with the procedures and deadlines for submitting applications for grants, for document checks and for the assignment of grants.

The Directorate General Entertainment will allocate the resources among the beneficiaries admitted to the contribution in proportion to the decrease in revenues deriving from the sale of records in the period from 1 March 2020 to 31 December 2020 compared to the period 1 March 2019 to 31 December 2019.
