Among the infrastructure projects prioritized by ANI is the Popayán-Pasto highway.

The Minister of Transportation, William Fernando Camargo Triana, appointed engineer Francisco Ospina Ramírez as the new president of the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI).

Francisco Ospina Ramírez is a mechanical engineer from the Military Aviation School, he has two specializations and three master’s degrees, the latter with emphasis on Engineering Management, Systems Engineering and Aeronautical Management. During his professional career he has held positions in Civil Aeronautics, including the general management of the entity, as well as in the Colombian Air Force, an institution where he worked for 15 years in various roles, including aspects of science, technology and innovation.

Ospina Ramírez will continue the Petro Government’s commitments in terms of concessioned infrastructure, including railway reactivation, airport modernization and Fifth Generation (5G) road concessions. Additionally, he will promote engineering and technology developments that the entity and the sector require for the modernization of their information systems.

In the period 2022-2026, ANI promotes a portfolio of concessioned transportation infrastructure, made up of more than 30 projects, including signed contracts and projects under structuring, of which the private initiatives of the Rafael Núñez de Cartagena and Gustavo airports stand out. Rojas Pinilla, from San Andrés; the La Dorada-Chiriguaná railway APP, Pasto-Popayán road projects and Villeta-Guaduas, the navigability of the Meta River, among others.
