FRASSINETTO Bad adventure for a 75-year-old mushroom hunter from Rivarolo. Yesterday, Thursday 23 September, at Pian del Lupo, he broke a femur following a disastrous fall. He was walking along a path in the woods towards Santa Lucia when he tripped. Rescued by mountain rescue volunteers, the man was stabilized and entrusted to the care of 118 staff. “We were unable to transport him to Ivrea because there were prohibitive conditions for the helicopter: there was an impenetrable fog over the area”. So the 75-year-old was loaded on a stretcher and taken close to the road, loaded into an ambulance and taken to the Ivrea hospital. –
