A man of Campania origin, kidnapped in the province of Naples for extortion purposes, was freed along the A1 by a police blitz near Orvieto. Two men, born in France but of Maghreb origin, were arrested. They were in the car with the kidnapped. They are accused of kidnapping. Investigations are underway on a third man, also from Maghreb, to clarify his role. The kidnappers allegedly intended to take the man to France and demand a ransom for alleged credits.
