The goal is to obtain an exemption from general practitioners. Among the excuses also depression, fatigue and insomnia

UDINE. The Green pass that becomes the pass to recover a “normal” life feeds the no-vax fantasy. And here comes not only allergies, episodes of juvenile asthma, phlebitis a decade away, but also an alleged deafness and even varicose veins. Clear apologies from patients, but also from nurses and social health workers, who ask the general practitioner to write down an alleged pathology in order to obtain the release certificate even in the absence of anti Covid vaccination.

«The AsuGi Prevention Department – says Lorenzo Cociani (Smi Trieste) – has issued a circular in which it is specified that it is the family doctor who must certify whether a patient can get the vaccine or not. For this reason, there is no lack of reasons for contrasting with those who, no-vax, are not satisfied with autonomously refusing the dose, but, precisely because they are well aware of the usefulness of the Green pass, put pressure in the clinic, perhaps with a lot of paper. ‘lawyer, citing the most diverse clinical reasons, none of which, however, represents an absolute contraindication to vaccination ».

Basically, as stated in the circular – which specifies that neither breastfeeding nor pregnancy, after the third trimester, are reasons for exemption or deferral -, no health documentation must be sent to the Department in order to demonstrate the impossibility or the inappropriateness of undergoing the anti-Covid vaccination, but “it is necessary that the general practitioner expressly declares that, once the person’s state of health has been assessed, the vaccination cannot be administered or must be deferred”.

Hence, as Cociani denounces, the first pressure on family doctors. Excuses? There are those who support previous but largely overcome pathologies, those who report having hypertensive parents, those who say they suffer from depression, asthenia, insomnia. In Udine, the clinical risk manager of AsuFc Roberto Cocconi also reports autoimmune diseases and the vast range of allergies. From cypress to hazelnut, from dust to shellfish. After that, assures Cosimo Quaranta, president of the Trieste Medical Association, «the certifying correctness of doctors is beyond question. Health reasons can be adduced, but they must be proven, otherwise there will be no help in favor of no-vax instances ». Instances that go hand in hand with those of many citizens in uncertainty. People who in turn, in the clinic, advance the strangest incompatibilities with the vaccine, starting with the simple headache. “Many also bring on the table autoimmune thyroiditis or other common pathologies, others refer to phlebitis that are now a memory – explains Francesco Franzin, secretary of the Fimmg of Trieste -. Positions more of fear than no-vax, but it is difficult to explain that these are not contraindications to the vaccine “.

The real no vax, says Alberto Peratoner, president of Aaroi-Emac Fvg, «are found among nurses and social health workers. A couple of them work with me, they are willing to hold out until they lose their salary. But most of the perplexed will give up sooner or later. ‘

After all, AsuGi, always on a circular basis, does not forget to reiterate that «the anti-Covid vaccination is proving, in daily practice, a very important disease prevention intervention, with a reduction of pressure on health systems, especially hospitals. It is therefore important that everyone protect themselves effectively, especially if you are a health professional ”.
