[Epoch Times, July 31, 2021](Interviews and reports by Epoch Times reporters Luo Ya and Zhang Yujie) Beijing has notified two confirmed cases of the new coronavirus (CCV) Delta variant. Local people revealed that the official announcement of the epidemic was late. Now all nursing homes in Beijing have been closed, and all villages in Changping District where the confirmed cases are located have been fenced up. Some residents have been directly notified to quarantine, and outsiders do not know the situation.

The first native case of the mainland infected with the Delta variant virus was exposed in Guangzhou on May 21 this year. Officials say that Guangzhou took four weeks to control the epidemic. However, two months later, a confirmed case also appeared in Nanjing, followed by outbreaks in many places, currently involving 15 provinces and 26 cities, including Beijing, Zhangjiajie, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shenyang, Dalian, Yangzhou, etc.

Mr. Wang, who lives in Changping District, Beijing, revealed to the Epoch Times reporter on July 30 that the official announcement of the epidemic was very late, and the people no longer believed the official news.

He said: “Don’t listen to its (official) announcement. We don’t believe it, really. It was announced very late. Just before its announcement, we didn’t all know that there was an epidemic in Beijing, and then it announced it.”

In June last year, Beijing announced the closure of some nursing homes, and family members and logisticians were not allowed to enter. At that time, the epidemic in Beijing spread to ten districts in the city and five provinces of Zhejiang, Liaoning, Hebei, Sichuan, and Henan.

Mr. Xia, who lives in Fengtai District, Beijing, told the Epoch Times reporter on the 30th: “Now many communities in Beijing have been completely closed.”

According to Beijing’s official announcement, at least ten communities have been closed in Changping District.

Mr. Wang said: “Now every village in the entire area (Changping District) is surrounded, and people outside the village are not allowed to enter. It is equivalent to a semi-closed state, which is the same as last year.” Mr. Wang’s home is away from where the confirmed case is located. More than 20 kilometers away from Huilongguan, a resident had just returned from Huilongguan and was quarantined.

It is reported that there are more than 300,000 permanent residents in Huilongguan, Changping District.

In addition, some communities in Beijing have issued notices requiring people who have been to areas related to the epidemic to report to the neighborhood committee.

Mr. Wang said that reporting means being directly taken away and quarantined, and outsiders can’t understand the situation; even if they don’t report, officials will track them through mobile phones and then be directly quarantined.

Weibo netizen “abherents” posted on the 30th: “The community informed me that I had gone to a place I had not been to, and then I came to Nucleic Acid, and then the Nucleic Acid Point opened at 7 o’clock. This is a queue of people, no one to guide, and no mask. In spite of this, the queue distance is also very close, if these people have been to the relevant area, then the risk of infection is higher.”

The Vice President of a Certain African Country’s Epidemic Event Public Opinion Fermented in Sensitive Areas

Recently, there was news that the Vice President of Africa and Zimbabwe was diagnosed in Beijing, and he was allowed to stay in a hotel before the nucleic acid test results came out, and he had been to Concord, Wangfujing and several restaurants.

Mr. Wang bluntly said to the reporter: “Let me tell you this, these things are from foreign newspapers, and it is impossible for ordinary people to know.”

The Vice President of Zimbabwe received two doses of Chinese vaccines in February this year, and said that the Chinese vaccines are safe and reliable, and they are the diplomatic platform for the Chinese Communist Party’s vaccines.

He stayed in a five-star hotel on Jinbao Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing, which was blocked on the 27th. Jinbao Street is located within the second ring road of Beijing, in a commercial area, close to Wangfujing Street, Dongdan, Tiananmen Square, etc.

Mr. Xia said that this incident aroused a strong response, and public opinion has criticized one after another. He said: “Generally foreigners should be quarantined for at least 14 days when entering Beijing. Because they are the vice president of Zimbabwe, there is an omission in this regard. He has been to Tianhe and returned to the hotel again. I hope his virus will not spread. Otherwise, the population density of Dongcheng is also very high, which may cause serious consequences.”

Ms. Li told the Epoch Times reporter that people entering Beijing from abroad cannot land in Beijing. They must be quarantined in other cities for 14 days before returning to Beijing after checking everything is normal. After entering Beijing, they must be quarantined at home.
