Insider: Mengyin County reported an epidemic in early March and concealed confirmed cases

According to Mr. Liu, a local insider who disclosed to The Epoch Times on March 21, the official announcement of the epidemic on March 15 said that there were 2 local confirmed cases. The county already has close contacts of confirmed cases.

On March 15th, the nucleic acid test of all staff in Mengyin County began. The insider also said that he learned from friends of the town government that there were already 60 confirmed cases in Mengyin County’s nucleic acid test, but they were not allowed to report, saying that they would have to wait for multiple nucleic acid tests. Mr. Liu also said that Mengyin County has been quietly closed for more than a week, the local area is uniformly distributing supplies, and the supermarket is also closed. Linyi students focused on isolating a group of confirmed cases that were officially delayed on the 15th

But authorities have been accused of delaying the announcement of some confirmed cases. Officially announced that from 23:00 on March 18 to 17:00 on March 19, Mengyin County found 4 new confirmed cases and 1 asymptomatic infection among the key control personnel, namely:

Case 12, a student from Mengyin County No. 1 Middle School, was tested for nucleic acid on campus on the morning of March 13, and was isolated in the early morning of March 15.

Case 13, a student at the Yunmeng Campus of the Third Middle School in Mengyin County, was quarantined in the early morning of March 15.

Case 14, a child of the first experimental kindergarten in Mengyin County, received a quarantine waiting notice at 23:30 on March 14, and was sent to centralized isolation at 1:00 on March 15.

The asymptomatic infected person is a student of the No. 4 Middle School in Mengyin County. At 23:30 on March 14th, he received the quarantine waiting notice, and he was sent to centralized isolation at 1:00am on March 15th.

The insider also publicly stated that on the 13th, all the students in the province were tested for nucleic acid, and the epidemic was not known at that time. A local middle school student also confirmed to The Epoch Times that their school also conducted a nucleic acid test on March 13. It is also known in the market that students who were screened and diagnosed were quarantined on the 15th.

Comparing the official epidemiological report released on the 19th with the “Healthy Linyi” student epidemiological report released by insiders, the confirmed cases 13, 14, and asymptomatic infected persons, both of which are consistent in terms of age, are students, and private insiders According to the released report, the three students were quarantined in the first batch as early as the 15th. On March 19, there was only one confirmed case of the epidemic in Lanling County officially announced by Linyi, Shandong Province. However, on the same day, Lanling County officially issued an epidemic notice, implementing static management of the county’s urban area and relevant towns and villages. Outsiders are prohibited from entering. Those who do not go out unless it is necessary, and those who need to go out under special circumstances, must be approved by the local epidemic prevention and control leading group, and bring a negative nucleic acid test report within 24 hours.

The notice also stated that all residential areas (village houses) are subject to closed management, and people and vehicles outside the community (village houses) are prohibited from entering and leaving, and the necessities of life are managed and served by community staff.

Although the outbreak officially announced by Shandong is a mutant strain of Omicron with a very high infection rate, but Lanling County did not announce any new cases subsequently, the official claimed that Lanling County could cancel static management on the 22nd.
