“This must be a flood discharge. It must have been caused by a large amount of flood discharge in a short period of time without prior notice, so here is the problem.” Chen Lei said.
He said that in the past few days, he saw the headline of a certain Weibo official account saying “5 times of heavy rain red warning, none of which has affected the leadership’s decision-making.” He felt that the headline was well put in place, “This rain has been raining for many days. The water level of the reservoir is definitely already quite high. They (the government) have not made some pre-plans? You can also discharge the flood in advance.”
Chen Lei believes that the damage caused by the sudden flood discharge to the entire city is immeasurable. “Especially the Jingguang Road tunnel. The entire tunnel was flooded. Then there were many cars inside. Think about how terrifying it is.”

Chen Lei had to take Metro Line 1 to the west at around two o’clock in the afternoon, but he couldn’t leave when he got to Xiliuhu Station. He let all the trains get off at 3:30 and said, “I can’t go to the west anymore. For the first time, this is the first time I have met when I am so big.” You can only return from Line 1 to Line 5 and get off at Houhelu Station.

Chen Lei walked to the intersection of Gongong Road and Qinhe Road and witnessed the flooding of water. An adult man carrying a child on his back wanted to run over. When approaching the opposite side, he fell and was washed away by the water. Fortunately, there was another man. The child was picked up, and the adult was washed away a few meters by the water before he got up. “You think his adults are washed away, and the child must be rushing very fast. If it is not saved, it will be hard to find.” He said.

Chen Lei was surrounded by dangers along the way. It took three hours for the original ten-minute journey to “cross the river” by taking a fire truck. When he was about to get home, he himself participated in the process of saving people.

The flooded tunnel is too horrible, and the government only cares about flooding and has no plan
Currently, the stagnant water in Zhengzhou is receding, but the floods on July 20 will make Zhengzhou people unforgettable for a lifetime. Chen Lei has an old friend in Zhengzhou. He is more than 50 years old and has lived in Zhengzhou for more than 50 years. He has never seen such a large water before. He feels terrible. All roads have become rivers.
Chen Lei said that the No. 5 subway flood train accident has been worrying. The salvage of vehicles in the Beijing-Guangzhou tunnel in the past two days is even more frightening. “Many vehicles have been salvaged, and there must be many people suffocated in the car in the tunnel. It fills up in a few minutes. It’s horrible how people go, how cars go.”
Chen Lei said that a large number of flood discharges in a short period of time, without notice at all, and no plans were the main reasons for the Zhengzhou disaster.
