China Youth Daily Client Fuzhou, September 14 (China Youth Daily and China Youth Daily trainee reporter Tian Hongwei) This afternoon, Fujian Province held a press conference on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic. It is understood that from September 10 to 8:00 on the 14th, a total of 139 local infections of new coronary pneumonia were reported in this round of the epidemic in Fujian Province, including 120 confirmed cases (75 in Putian, 12 in Quanzhou, and 33 in Xiamen) ; 19 cases of asymptomatic infection were in Putian City.
According to Liao Huasheng, the deputy mayor of Xiamen, between 0 and 24:00 on September 13th, there were 32 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Xiamen, of which 31 were related to the first imported confirmed case in Xiamen, Wu. Wu is a workshop manager of a handicraft production company in Tong’an District, Xiamen. On September 12, when Tong’an District screened people coming to Xiamen from medium- and high-risk areas, Wu tested positive for the new coronavirus nucleic acid. After investigation, Wu was the family member of a confirmed case in Putian City. He had a history of close contact with the confirmed case on September 4 and 5, and took a train to Xiamen on the 6th. According to expert research and judgment, from September 6 to 12, before Wu was tested positive for nucleic acid, he had contact with many workshop operations and management personnel, and the factory work site was relatively closed, and the workers did not take personal protection. The Upper Delta virus is highly spread, causing clustered transmission.
Another confirmed case, Cai, was an outsourced service staff of Xiamen No. 1 Hospital. The result of a routine nucleic acid test at Xiamen No. 1 Hospital on September 12 was positive and he was diagnosed as a confirmed case. As for when and where Cai was infected, the press conference has not announced more details.
