On the 20th, the Provincial Meteorological Observatory sounded a cold wave alert-from the afternoon to the evening of the 21st, a wave of cold waves will affect our province from north to south. At that time, not only will the temperature drop sharply and the northerly wind will blow in our province, but there will also be rain falling, and the lowest temperature may be the lowest in the next six months.
It is reported that this is the second wave of cold wave that our province has encountered in November, and it is colder than the last cold wave. According to forecasts, from 21 to 23, the daily average temperature in most parts of Zhejiang will drop by 9 to 11 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature can drop by 11 to 13 degrees Celsius. On the morning of the 23rd to the 24th, except for coastal areas, the lowest temperature in most parts of the province can reach 0 to 2 degrees Celsius with frost, and in mountainous areas from minus 1 degree Celsius to minus 4 degrees Celsius with freezing.
From the evening of the 21st to the 22nd, there will be 9 to 11 northerly gusts on the coastal seas and fishing grounds of our province from north to south, 8 to 10 gusts on rivers, lakes and high mountains, and 6 to 8 gusts on the inland plains. . It is expected that from the evening to night on the 21st, the province will be overcast with showers and some moderate to heavy rains. Among them, there will be sleet or snow at night in the high mountains of northwestern Zhejiang.
The Provincial Meteorological Observatory reminded that the impact of this cold wave is wide, and the adverse effects of severe cooling and low temperature on human health and epidemic prevention and control need to be prevented. Facility agriculture also needs to do cold and warm work.
At present, rice in our province has entered the end of harvest, wheat is in the sowing period, and autumn and winter vegetables are in the peak production season. The Provincial Agricultural Technology Extension Center reminded farmers to rush to harvest late rice, vegetables, citrus, kiwi and other mature crops in time, pay close attention to weather and market trends, and prevent the cold wave weather from affecting agricultural production.
At present, solanaceous fruits and melon vegetables in the province are in the sowing and seedling period, the Chinese medicinal materials such as Peucedanum are entering the new production period, and the edible fungus is in the critical period of production. Farmers should take measures according to local conditions, take care of the maintenance and reinforcement of facilities and the cold-proof and heat-preservation measures of facility greenhouses in advance. Open vegetables can be covered with mulch when necessary.
