FAEDIS. Angelo Calligaro, the young man who was driving the vehicle that crashed into a tree, along the Vallone, in Doberdò del Lago, is being investigated for road murder, as a result of which the 29-year-old physiotherapist Jessica Alongi, who lived in Ronchis di Faedis, died.
The confirmation comes from the Prosecutor of Gorizia through the chief prosecutor Massimo Lia, who has opened a file on the incident. The road spill, which took place on the night between Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 July, occurred along a straight section of state road 55, in the area between the hamlet of Jamiano and Lake Doberdò.
The girl, who was on the passenger side of the car, died instantly. Vano had been the timely intervention of the 118 health personnel, sent by the Sores Central of Palmanova, who could not help but ascertain the death. The young man, on the other hand, had been transferred to the Cattinara hospital.
At this point an investigation is being made for the hypothesis of road murder, as part of the investigations carried out by the carabinieri of the mobile radio operating unit of the Compagnia di Monfalcone. In addition to the reconstruction of the dynamics of the road accident, the investigations regarding toxicological analyzes were also ordered by the Prosecutor, in order to verify whether the driver that night while driving was in a state of psycho-physical alteration.
The terrible crash occurred around 1.30 am, an autonomous spill, excluding possible interference to the vehicle’s path. At this point it will be up to the Prosecutor of Gorizia to ascertain any responsibility on the part of the driver.
Jessica Alongi’s funeral will be celebrated on Saturday afternoon, at 4 pm, in the church of Faedis. –
