Green Pass certified, countdown in Treviso. There is no shortage of dissident locals

To say “#Iononcisto”, recognizing himself in the line of the Restaurateurs Veneto & Horeca association, in the province of Treviso there are above all two testimonials: Mauro Meneghin, owner of the Prosit brewery in San Vendemiano and Achille Zorzi of the Osteria Da Bimbari in Mogliano

TREVISO. Breweries, taverns, restaurants, bars: from the entry into force of the Green pass, scheduled for next 6 August, the conditions of access to these places, as well as gyms, cinemas, theaters, are destined to change. The fiercest associations that have been born in recent times, to counter the restrictions imposed by the government on the entire restaurant and service sector, immediately welcomed the “green certificate” with fierce protests and announcing civil disobedience. But how many are the locals openly aligned against the measure?

To say “#Iononcisto”, recognizing himself in the line of the Restaurateurs Veneto & Horeca association, in the province of Treviso there are above all two testimonials: Mauro Meneghin, owner of the Prosit brewery in San Vendemiano and Achille Zorzi of the Osteria Da Bimbari in Mogliano. On their premises there is a sign claiming the “freedom to choose”. «I am also vaccinated», explains Meneghin, «so my family, but I don’t want to have to control the choices of others and of my clients, in particular. In what capacity? ». Their reference association yesterday launched an online petition and also announces possible appeals to the TAR.

The Veneto Imprese Unite association, chaired by Andrea Penzo Aiello and linked to the National Business Protection movement, is also very well represented in the province of Treviso. Also in their case, last week, the boycott of the Green pass started. A craftsman in solidarity with the protest offered to print a hundred signs reading “Green pass? Here it is not needed ”and have been made available. More than anything else, it was a media move: “We are trying to follow institutional paths” explains Penzo Aiello “We are restaurateurs and not controllers, we want to do our job, we have presented an amendment”.
