CANDIA CANAVESE. “If the activation of the Green pass serves to avoid new autumn closures, so be it”. This is the leitmotif of most of the bartenders and restaurateurs of the Lower Canavese area. Luciano Tabozzi, owner of the restaurant Al Cantun in Candia: «I am in favor of this directive, which is in favor of health. There are Ascom notices that must be affixed to the entrance of the restaurant, so those who are vaccinated can also sit indoors, those who do not have to sit outside ». “The only flaw – concludes Tabocci – is that even the employees, I think of my waiters, should have the Green pass to be able to work indoors and, instead, at the moment, this directive does not exist”. Giulia Tabozzi, owner of the ice cream shop Lo Chalet del Lago: «The introduction of this system is right if it helps us not to close ourselves again in the autumn-winter season. The real problem lies in the management and control of the situation during all opening hours ».
The same doubt is expressed by Valentina Lombardo who, together with Sara Micheletti, manages the Gemmo cremeria in Caluso: «Rather than closing, the Green pass is better, even if the continuous verification leaves me perplexed. The rule that requires consumption at the counter indoors even without a vaccine does not make much sense. At this moment there is still a lot of uncertainty, I hope the Government will clarify ».
Also Francesco Parrotta, owner of the bar-sports center Il Nido del Falco in Orio Canavese, says: «This solution, which will start from 6 August, could cause me problems, especially in the management of indoor customers. I will bear the inconvenience, but if it does not make us shut down again, I accept it. We all also want this pandemic to end as soon as possible, because we all want to go back to normal and savor the everyday life we once had ».
