Grow – Martina Recchiuti – International

In June last year, we published an article in the Swedish newspaper Kamrat Posten, which chronicled how boys’ bodies change during puberty. It was called “When Boys Grow Up” and was made up of a long series of answers to readers’ questions. In this issue we publish the second part, with the girls’ questions.

“People’s life is made up of many phases and one of the most beautiful and delicate ones is when boys and girls begin to become boys and girls. School changes, friends or commitments change, but the first sign that something inside us is moving comes from the body. Some transformations take us by surprise: just think of the hair or the voice that changes. This is why knowing our body is very important. From an early age we must feel free to talk about it with the people we trust and to ask any questions that come to our mind. Managing a body that at some point seems to go on its own can create a bit of embarrassment, but it is good to know that what we call ‘intimate’ are parts of us and we must be informed about how they work “.

This was the editorial we wrote in June to introduce you to the article. And it works great for that too.
