“Guitar day” arrives in Friuli (and for the first time in Italy): three guitar legends for a live concert

PALMANOVA. Maurizio Solieri, Luca Colombo and Ricky Portera: on Saturday 18 June, for the first time in Italy, the Guitar Day will have three great names of Italian and international guitar playing at the Palmanova Village, for a truly unique and unmissable live concert and an evening at ‘sign of music and relaxation suitable for everyone.

Appointment from 6 to 9 pm with three different stages positioned at the entrances and in the central square of the Village on which the three “sacred monsters” who have contributed to writing the history of guitar and live music in Italy will play for over an hour each: at the end of the live performance, each musician will stop on stage for a chat with the fans and then to make autographs and photos together.

Maurizio Solieri is a true icon: Vasco’s guitarist since the end of the 70s both for records and for tours, he has also composed numerous songs for Rossi. In 1988 he founded the Steve Rogers Band together with Massimo Riva and in 2009 he released his first solo album.

Luca Colombo prefers electric and acoustic guitar, rock-blues music and the cross over between traditional and electropop: he has been directed by the major conductors, he has been guitarist on the tours of many Italian singers and has recorded on discs with various artists including including Laura Pausini, Adriano Celentano, Mina and Alessandra Amoroso.

Ricky Portera is the founder of the Stadio together with Gaetano Curreri. He was a long-time collaborator of Lucio Dalla, guitarist of Ron and of other Italian authors such as Eugenio Finardi and Loredana Bertè. Lucio Dalla wrote and dedicated to Portera the song “Grande son of a bitch”, which became, in 1982, the first great success of the Stadio.
