CONEGLIANO. From 5 pm on Monday 2 August a violent storm, accompanied by gusts of wind, hit the Left Piave. Among the most affected areas is that of Meduna di Livenza, where the mayor Arnaldo Pitton went to inspect the vineyards and the houses, noting that hail and wind damaged both the crops and houses and cars. The Municipality is preparing to apply for the recognition of the state of natural disaster, to obtain reimbursements for families and companies affected.
Bad weather also caused damage to Mareno, where a whirlwind knocked down a series of trees in the area north of the Municipality and devastated the municipal cemetery, with gutters and furniture shattered.
About twenty interventions by firefighters, from Asolano to Montebellunese (Crocetta and Maser), from Coneglianese to Opitergino Mottense.
