Hainan Issues Level Four High Temperature Warning, Temperatures Expected to Soar Above 37°C

Hainan Province has issued a level four high temperature warning, with many areas expected to experience temperatures above 37°C. According to the Hainan Provincial Meteorological Bureau, cities including Haikou, Chengmai, Danzhou, Lingao, Changjiang, Baisha, Ding’an, Dongfang, and Tunchang are likely to see high temperatures during the day on April 15.

Residents are advised to take preventive measures against heatstroke, such as avoiding prolonged outdoor activities, staying hydrated, and protecting themselves from the sun. The province is also at risk of forest fires, with a level three (flammable) risk in central and western regions, and a level four risk during certain periods and areas.

In addition, the Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms in some areas from the 17th to the 19th, with strong convective weather including thunderstorms, strong winds, and heavy precipitation. Outdoor activities should pay attention to weather warnings and take necessary precautions.

Authorities are urging relevant units to prioritize heatstroke prevention, cooling measures, and forest fire prevention efforts. Stay safe and stay informed during this period of extreme weather in Hainan.
