Bad adventure for a 48-year-old man of Polish nationality who crashed with a paraglider after a first impact with a plant and a flight of about ten meters, around 5 pm, in Val Venzonassa, near the Frassin shelter.
It was a local man, who was in the area to check some maintenance work carried out on a piece of land, who raised the alarm. The area is not frequented and is not covered by the telephone network and the Polish citizen was not participating in the international paragliding competitions in progress and therefore was not controlled by the organization.
118 on site, the Tolmezzo fire brigade, the Financial Police and the Alpine Rescue. The man sustained several injuries and was transported to the Udine hospital by helicopter. It wouldn’t be life threatening. There are countless similar incidents recorded in the area in recent days.
