BELLUNO. He died six days after the crash with a friend’s motorcycle. And his girlfriend was seriously injured on the asphalt of the Dolomites bridge, but now, after some time, she is much better. Fabio Natale, the chosen corporal of the Seventh Alpini Regiment, would not have asked the owner for permission to take the Aprilia 1000, but having died it is no longer possible to accuse him of anything, in the specific case of aggravated theft.
But if an agreement is not reached outside the courtrooms, a civil suit will be launched against the family of the Caserta soldier for damages. In fact, the motorcycle has become unusable and insurance does its job.
The man to whom the vehicle is registered has asked the trusted lawyer Giorgio Gasperin to proceed and the possible first hearing will take place after the summer, when more or less a year has passed since that cursed September evening.
Fabio Natale would have turned 32 in December and had his girlfriend Krystyna Bahriy on the back seat, a 25-year-old Ukrainian national, who at the time was a bartender in a club in the center of Belluno.
The man had no past experience with such a powerful motorcycle and on that late summer evening he was traveling from via Sarajevo towards Col Cavalier.
Arriving at the start of the Dolomites bridge, he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the first public lighting pole. The two boyfriends were bounced off the street and both the impact and the landing were very violent. Right from the start, the Christmas conditions seemed very serious to the rescuers, who had to intubate him, because the boy was not conscious and was struggling to breathe.
The head trauma was very strong, despite wearing a helmet and the San Martino doctors diagnosed him with heavy brain injuries. Only after a few days, his conditions slightly improved and this allowed him to move to the Ca ‘Foncello in Treviso, where, however, it was not possible to save his life and the young man died six days after the accident.
The owner of the bike claims that he has never given him permission to take it and go for a ride and has not yet seen a euro in compensation for the damage suffered. The man asks for the payment of the damages suffered, albeit with all respect for a family that is still suffering from his grief and that could also be called to compensate the Christmas girl. No other vehicles or pedestrians were involved in the crash. At the height of the lampposts, there is always a bouquet of flowers in memory of that tragic evening.
