Preliminary custody order executed in prison to defeat an association dedicated to the international trafficking of cocaine and hashish

AOSTA. The Carabinieri del Ros supported by the provincial commands of Turin, Ancona, Cagliari, Nuoro, Savona and Ragusa have carried out a precautionary custody order in prison by the Turin court, requested by the DDA, against nine suspects. They are accused, for various reasons, of association aimed at drug trafficking, with the aggravating circumstance of transnationality.

The arrests were triggered as part of an investigation to find the fugitive Giuseppe Nerbo junior who fled to Spain. With the operations that led to his arrest, in 2017, investigations began on a trafficking of cocaine and hashish between Italy and Spain that Nerbo himself allegedly managed before and also after the arrest.

From the Valle d’Aosta prison of Brissogne, where he was being held, he used cell phones introduced illegally to give directions and took advantage of the talks with his family to get pizzini to those outside who were in charge of continuing the business.

The man’s sister and partner were arrested along with the other members of the criminal association.
