He falls from the path, a woman dies under the Boccalatte refuge

The victim’s body was brought to Courmayeur at the disposal of the Sagf

A woman died in an accident that took place in the early afternoon today in the area under the Boccalatte refuge, in Courmayeur.

The victim, perhaps a mountaineer who was returning to the valley, fell in a challenging moraine stretch and suffered fatal trauma. It would be a Polish woman, according to what was reported by the Central Unica del Soccorso.

The Aosta Valley Alpine Rescue intervened on the spot. The body, directed to Courmayeur, will be available to the Sagf for judicial police procedures.
